The Glass Lab Exhibition 2022
Here's a small sample of the pieces on display at our Glass Lab exhibition this summer at the International Glass Festival 2022
There was a steady stream of curious spectators into our exhibition over the four days of the main event. The art on show provided an interesting contrast to that of experienced glass makers showing at the International Glass Biennale exhibition next door.
People were astounded when they were told that these makers were new to the medium of glass and the innovation and evocative storytelling of the pieces made a deep impression on many.
Thanks go to all the artists in residence for their commitment to the project who jumped in with creative abandon to the challenge, and to all Glass Foundry Staff who pulled out all the stops to get as much of the work as possible finished on time.
