Mould Making: 3 day Course
Mould making is an important stage in producing or making a copy of an object. At the Foundry, we use this method when casting glass sculptures but the same techniques apply to make objects from other materials.
This course will teach you the whole process of how to make detailed and reusable cavity moulds and jackets using silicone, gel flex and resin to create positive and negatives forms of an object. The focus will be on learning how to use these flexible and versatile materials to cast into, using wax, plaster and rubber to make copies ready to use for the next stage in kiln casting, fusing or making plaster
This will be an intensive yet exciting 3-day course to add to your glass-making methods. Places are limited so please book early.
Please note moulds will be limited in size to 20 x 20 x 10 cm.
