Job Opportunity: Trainee Glass Artist
The Glass Foundry is looking for a Trainee Glass Artist. (£10 - £12/hour)
3 successful applicants will receive a 2 month full-time placement at the Foundry. Starting on in January 2022 (depending on Covid situation). Thereafter we will negotiate hours and rate on a freelance basis.
This will involve helping to finish artist's glass works - from demoulding, flatbed grinding to air tool shaping and polishing.
This post will suit -
- recent glass graduates
- makers experienced in finishing sculptural artworks to a high standard
- technicians in other fields who have experience working with shaping tool
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who are under-represented in the glass making field.
